Meditation with yoga Nidra
Starting in Shavasana, our resting pose, wrapping yourself in a blanket, a pillow for your head and an eye pillow to rest your eyes, I will send you on a wonderful guided meditation with Yoga Nidra. This meditation is known as the ‘Yogic Sleep’.
Yoga Nidra works by tapping into your Autonomic Nervous System and accessing the Parasympathetic state – your rest and digest state. Yoga Nidra allows you to access Delta brainwaves allowing your mind and body to rest while you’re awake, it also activates the pineal gland which is part of the endocrine system responsible for secreting hormones.
Research has shown that Yoga Nidra reduces stress, anxiety and insomnia.
I offer these sessions on my Wellbeing afternoons as part of a whole yoga experience as well as a one-to-one in your home.
